The 5thSense(tm)
The 5thSense(tm) is a fingerprint reader
for the PC based on Veridicom's direct contact silicon fingerprint
sensor. Fingerprint-based authentication is a simple and
convenient way to secure access to individual computers
as well as networks and the Internet. Available in both
parallel- and USB-interface versions, the 5thSense includes
ready-to-use software drivers that interface to a variety
of security applications.
To help software developers create fingerprint-enabled
applications,Veridicom offers a separately available Software
Development Kit (SDK). It allows customization of operation
of the 5thSense module to the needs of a particular application
or system integrator.

The 5thSense(tm)
Combo Peripheral
The 5thSense Combo adds another layer of security to smart
card authentication. It offers simple, user-friendly strong
authentication in the form of a fingerprint reader, smart
card reader, or both. The Combo can be used to eliminate
smart card PINs or passwords, while increasing convenience
and adding biometric security. The 5thSense Combo fingerprint
peripheral is available with either a high speed USB or
a Parallel port interface (PRL).
